Too bad the article never mentions that the cars with the "technology" aren't nearly as fast. Saying that could still be objective, because it's a fact. The reason I think these so-called next generation hot rodders are so pathetic is that it's a step BACKWARDS.

uh - no you can't. Can't beat the fastest domestics running carbs and ported by hand heads. You can't use a computer to force more air into the cylinder or push more gas through, or tweak the timing just right. This takes experience and a steady hand. Engine work is grunt work and takes more patience than programming.

#5, I didn't say they weren't fast, I said they weren't FASTER. Take a look at the 7,000 horse funnycars and show me one import that can produce nearly that. Hell, take a look at Bob Reiger's street legal 2,000 horsepower '57 Chevy ( www.kingofthestreetdragracing.com ) and show me one import that can produce nearly that.
