Kinda cool. I've got an idea of what it is, but I'm not sure exactly what they used as the basis for each dimension. Basically, it's supposed to be a set of 3D renderings of the dependencies between files (and their related directory structure) in the Linux kernel's source code.
I think it would be interesting to see a similar mapping for other operating systems, especially Windows NT/2K/XP, which has grown very quickly in size and function over the years. BeOS would be interesting, too, but probably wouldn't be much to look at (it's a microkernel OS). |

#3, It's a big map that shows the how files are connected to each other in the Linux kernel. Simple enough :-) |
