The REMAKE Gone in Sixty Seconds was second?! Fucking christ, people are retarded. They wouldn't know a good car chase if it jumped off a building and landed on them.
In all honesty, Bullitt is good, but not THAT good. Lemme critique the rest of the list.
Smokey and the Bandit: Yes.
Blues Brothers: Yes. Best comedic car chases ever.
1974 GiSS: YES YES YES...shoulda been at the top.
The French Connection, Ronin: Never saw either. :(
Vanishing Point: Finally saw it a few weeks ago. It sucked. Just a mess of hippies, druggies, gang members, weirdos, and some blind DJ. No plot, no acting. Again, it sucked.
Remake "Italian Job": Crappy movie, but the car chases were kinda cool, thanks to the lack of CGI. Also, it begs the question: Why is Mark Walberg a movie star? WHY?!
Fast and Furious: This movie was a ham sandwich with extra cheeeeese. But the car racing, as idiotically unbelievable as it was, was not boring. That's really all I can say.

Never saw Bourne Identity.
Matrix Reloaded: Yes. The freeway chase is really the only redeeming quality of the movie, IMO...love the music.
Days of Thunder: I'm a NASCAR fan, so I don't hate the movie... don't really love it either. Its racing scenes are on the same level as tF&tF when it comes to believability >_< |

DiRF, seriously. Go to WalMart right now, buy a copy of Ronin. It's $10 and I GUARANTEE it will blow your mind. I watch the car chases at least twice a month, haven't watched the whole movie in years! |

#3, Hmmm...I'll have to check it out then.
Oh yeah, also, the first few minutes of "The Transporter" are fucking incredible. Those poor little Peugeot police cars trying to keep up with the badass V12 7-series... |

#3, Yeah, Ronin isn't the most exciting movie overall (too much intrigue and stuff) but the car chases are excellent. |
